Last night, Shannon, Paul, Ruthie, Doug and I went to the fair and had a wonderful time. It was only the 2nd day and being on a Thursday with a forecast of possible rain, the crowds were minimal which made it most enjoyable. Having Ruth with us increased the joy of seeing all of the animals and I think we did see just about all of them. She still wanted to see more! We partook of the delicious, albeit expensive foods and paraded through the commercial buildings and some of the crafts/collections. Just as we were walking to the car, we heard thunder and saw some lightning. Then as we were pulling out of the parking lot, it began to rain. We were elated at how the elements had cooperated with us and what a great time we had yet again at the great Kern County Fair!

Soooo much fun! Wish we were there! Kern County Fair rocks! I'm taking Ty for the first time to the Phoenix one this year...Hopefully it will be as good as the SLC and Bako ones. A side note..Mother you look GREAT!
